The Creative Generation Excellence Awards in Visual Art recognise and promote excellence in senior visual art education throughout Queensland state and non-state schools.
Since 1990, the program has helped raise community awareness of the degree of sophistication in concepts, diversity of technical competence, and the high standard of visual art education in Queensland secondary schools.
The 2023 excellence winning works are on display at the Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) from Saturday 27 April to Sunday 25 August 2024. The works on display at GOMA in 2024 can be also be viewed online here.
Nominations for the 2024 program are open until Wednesday 28 August 2024. More information is available on the

In Residence
In Residence provides Year 10 Queensland visual art students with the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of the academic, experimental, collaborative and reflective nature of contemporary visual art and gain an appreciation for the breadth of opportunities in the creative industries.
